Welcome to tomharding.info

Besides doing gigs at local clubs, I also entertain at private parties, casual weddings and events.  I've performed at the Cohoes Democratic Committee Summer Picnic 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.  In the winter of 2004 I was asked to sing the National Anthem at the Section II High School Varsity Hockey Finals...I'm still shaking!

Band History:
  • Ambush, Plattsburgh, NY, late 70's:  I was a kid and we were pretty loose.  Gene could scream on lead guitar and Jim was a great drummer from the minute he started playing.
  • Different Strings, Plattsburgh, NY, 80/81:  Friends since freshman year of highschool, Tom Fleury and David Buran are still a big part of my life and we still create musical magic now and then.  Wish we lived closer together...what a band we could have now!
  • The Kidds, Utica, NY, 81/82:  Gained some good experience.  Hi Mark...where are you?
  • Different Strings (duo), Utica, NY, 82/83:  Phil DeCarlo aka Philip Moon...we had something there!  I felt like part of the DeCarlo family.  A great time in my life.  But alas, I met my wife, obtained the "real" job and got transfered to Watertown.  Phil is a natural.  Killer voice and very musical.  We sounded great together and complimented each others styles nicely.  Who knows what we could have done.  I'm so glad to see Phil is back at it.  Visit his web-site, philipmoon.com, by clicking the link below.
  • Tangent, Watertown, NY, mid 80's:  Patty Dobbins.  We should have written more.  Had a few things recorded at a local studio, did a few gigs and parties, but it seemed more of a hobby band...an excuse to play, which isn't a bad thing.  We got pretty polished near the end.  I still have a great live recording from The Red Lion...What's up Patty?!?
  • Took a short break, mid 80's to early 00's:  Spent the better part of two decades playin' around the campfire...usually with my brother-in-law, Ralph.  Ralph and I have a lot in common.  We both love music and an occasional Jim Beam and Coke...oh, and our wives are twins...go figure!  The family gigs are the best.
  • Currently a Solo Acoustic Performer in the Capital District:  Occasionally you might see Tom or Dave or even my son Eric show up and play at one of my gigs.  I look forward to these moments of Punctuated Equilibrium! (W.W.B.)
